New Engineer Required!

Crosby Intruder Alarms require a new Engineer to join our work force. Benefits include a 2012 Vauxhall Vivaro Sportive Company Van, Mobile Phone, Laptop, 20 days holiday + 8 Bank Holidays, time off between Christmas & New Year (if available) and others. You will be expected to undertake service and installation of all Electronic Security Products included in our portfolio, to participate in our On-Call Rota & be available to work in various parts of the UK. You should be conversant with current British & European Standards and will ideally have experience with Honeywell Galaxy, Texecom Premier, HKC, Scantronic, Menvier  and Risco Panels. Experience with RedCare, DualCom and IP Products would be a bonus but not essential.  We also work on Fire Alarm systems, Audio & Video Door Entry, Access Control, Smokecloak & Integration with Home Automation; so experience in these areas would be an advantage. A clean driving licence is essential and you must be prepared to have a Basic CRB Check undertaken, be vetted to BS7858  and have a credit check carried out, checks paid for by the company. The Importance of having your Alarm System Maintained!

Ever been woken up by your Alarm System in the early hours of the morning, you've entered your code and either the panel has locked up or it says "Low Battery"??? - Or have you been woken up by your neighbours alarm randomly going off when they are out and there is nothing you can do??? - Or have you been sitting in your house and the alarm starts beeping at you or activates for no reason???

If the answer is yes to any of the above questions, then your Alarm System is basically asking for a Service!

Alarm Systems, like cars require regular services or maintenance checks to ensure that they carry on working efficiently. These services should be taken out every 12 months by a qualified Alarm Engineer supplied by Crosby Intruder Alarms. Batteries should be replaced every 5 years, otherwise they may become a Fire Risk as they become hot and start to leak acid!!!

What do we do on a service?

• We test all voltages within the main Control Panel to ensure that they are correct.
• We test the standby battery to ensure that it will support the Control Panel in the event of a mains failure.
• We fully "walk test" the system to ensure that each device operates correctly.
• We test the external and internal sounder to ensure that they are operating correctly.
• We inspect all flexible connections within the Control Panel to ensure that no terminals have worked loose over time.
• We set and unset the alarm system and activate and reset it to ensure that the system is operating correctly.
• We then fill out a service report and leave a signed copy with yourself, in case your Insurance Company ask to see proof that you have your Alarm System Maintained.

We do currently have a special offer advertised on our website for a special price which includes a replacement backup battery and we will even clean your detectors and vacuum them out to ensure that they are free from cob-webs and dust.
